Impact of Front Line Demonstration on Integrated Management of Brinjal Shoot and Fruit Borer (Leucinodes orbonalis Guenee) in Nagarkurnool District, Telangana state

The front line demonstrations were organised in 30 farmers fields during 2017–2020 Nagarkurnool district. IPM strategy included clipping and disposal of infested shoots, removal fruits with boreholes, installation pheromone traps @ 25 ha-1, spraying Bacillus thurinjiensis 1 g l-1 Emamectin benzoate 5% SG 0.4 l-1. mean the parameters three years (pooled) revealed that shoot fruit borer damage at a vegetative phase as was 18.29% demo field 29.92% practice. Fruit recorded low 23.02% while farmer’s practice it 47.37%. Higher marketable yield 274 q ha-1 17.6% increased over (233 ha-1) benefit Cost Ratio 2.97:1 2.11:1, respectively. Besides this, number pesticide sprayings reduced significantly (5.2 times) when compared to (13.13 times).
